AML / KYC Policy of Bablos
This Policy describes the approach used by Bablos to review users and transactions for the purposes of preventing money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, and other unlawful activities.
We aim to carry out checks only when necessary, avoid requesting excessive information, and not complicate ordinary transactions without an objective reason.
1. General Provisions
Bablos applies control and verification measures in accordance with applicable legal requirements, including rules related to anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing, regulation of transactions involving digital currencies, and personal data protection.
The scope of a review depends on the nature of the transaction, its amount, the payment instruments used, the results of automated analysis, and other relevant risk factors.
2. Purpose of Verification
Verification may be carried out for the following purposes:
confirming the identity of a user;
confirming ownership or lawful use of payment details or a digital wallet;
checking the lawful origin of funds or digital assets;
preventing fraud;
identifying transactions associated with increased risk;
complying with legal requirements and lawful requests from authorized authorities.
The fact that an additional review is conducted does not mean that the user is suspected of unlawful activity.
3. User Identification
Where required by law or by the service rules, Bablos may request information necessary to identify the user.
Depending on the circumstances, such information may include:
first and last name;
date of birth;
contact details;
an identity document;
information about place of residence or stay;
confirmation of ownership or lawful use of a bank card, account, electronic wallet, or other payment instrument;
other information necessary to process and verify a specific transaction.
The service requests only the information reasonably necessary for verification and transaction processing.
4. Transaction Review
Transactions may be reviewed automatically and manually.
For transactions involving digital currencies, Bablos may take into account the transaction history of the relevant address or transaction, as well as information concerning possible links to fraud, theft, sanctions-related risks, prohibited activities, or other high-risk sources.
Additional verification may be required either before the transaction begins or while it is being processed.
5. Additional Information
In certain cases, the user may be asked to provide additional information, for example:
confirmation of the source of funds or digital assets;
the purpose of the transaction;
information about the recipient;
confirmation of a completed transaction;
documents or explanations necessary to resolve an identified risk.
We aim to limit document requests to information directly relevant to the verification being carried out.
6. Higher-Risk Transactions
Bablos may apply enhanced attention to a transaction where indicators of increased risk are present, including:
inconsistencies in sender or recipient information;
use of third-party payment details without a sufficient explanation;
signs of fraud;
links between digital assets and high-risk sources;
attempts to conceal the origin or destination of funds;
other circumstances that require additional review under applicable legal requirements or internal control procedures.
7. Possible Actions by the Service
If a transaction requires additional verification, Bablos may:
request additional information or documents;
temporarily suspend transaction processing while the review is ongoing;
apply additional conditions to the transaction;
refuse to process the transaction where required or permitted by applicable law or service rules;
take other measures required by applicable law.
If the transaction cannot be completed, any refund issue will be considered taking into account the circumstances of the transaction, applicable legal requirements, and the technical possibility of returning the funds.
8. Verification Time
Most reviews are completed within a reasonable period after the necessary information has been received.
The review may take longer if additional information is required, further transaction analysis is necessary, or legal requirements must be fulfilled.
Providing requested information promptly will usually help complete the review faster.
9. Personal Data
Personal data and documents obtained during verification are processed only for lawful purposes and only to the extent necessary for service operations, compliance with legal requirements, and user protection.
Personal data is processed and protected in accordance with applicable law and the Bablos Privacy Policy.
Information is not used for purposes unrelated to the service unless otherwise required by law or separately agreed with the user.
10. Interaction with Public Authorities
Where required by applicable law, Bablos may be obligated to provide information about transactions or users to authorized public authorities.
Such information is disclosed only where there is a lawful basis for doing so.
11. User Responsibilities
Users must provide accurate information and use payment details and digital assets that belong to them or are otherwise lawfully used by them.
Users must not use Bablos for transactions connected with criminal activity, fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing, or any other unlawful purpose.
12. Changes to This Policy
Bablos may update this Policy in response to changes in law, regulatory requirements, technologies used by the service, or internal control procedures.
The current version of this Policy is always published on the website.
